Vol. 491 No. 6

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Seán Haughey

Question:

186 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in Dublin 5 will have a hip replacement operation carried out at Cappagh Hospital, Dublin 11 in view of the fact that he will lose his job if this operation is not carried out in the very near future; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13055/98]

The provision of orthopaedic treatment in this case is the responsibility of Cappagh Orthopaedic Hospital in the first instance. I have, therefore, asked the secretary manager of Cappagh Orthopaedic Hospital to investigate the position in relation to this case and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
