Question:194 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be approved assistance under the special housing aid for the elderly scheme in view of her circumstances. [13092/98]
Written Answers. - Housing Aid for the Elderly.
As the Deputy is aware, the housing aid scheme for the elderly in the Mayo area is administered by the Western Health Board on behalf of the Department of the Environment and Local Government. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to investigate this case as as matter of urgency and respond directly to the Deputy with the board's findings.
