315 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will approve the application for a resource teacher for Fingal Community College, Swords, County Dublin, in view of the fact that that the school wishes to provide a service for children with special educational needs. [13043/98]
My Department sanctioned a permanent resource post for Fingal Community College in 1995 to cater for the educational needs of special needs pupils attending the school.
I understand that County Dublin Vocational Education Committee is in the process of submitting an application to my Department for an additional post. When this application is received, it will be considered and my Department will notify the VEC and the Deputy of the decision as soon as possible.
