44 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Public Enterprise if she has concluded her considerations on the consultants' report on the outlook for the refining industry and the financial challenges facing INPC; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12805/98]
The report to which the Deputy refers is still under consideration by me. However the report will be of assistance to me in evaluating the INPC's new business plan which will examine opportunities for future development. My officials will be liaising with the company on the business plan currently in preparation with a view to presenting proposals for my consideration relating to an appropriate strategy for the INPC in the years ahead. The findings and recommendations of the consultants' report will be one of the factors to be taken into account when those proposals have been submitted to me.
