Vol. 491 No. 7

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Benefits.

Jack Wall

Question:

183 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs the reason a person (details supplied) in County Kildare is not being paid unemployment assistance or lone parent's allowance. [13187/98]

An unemployment assistance application from the person concerned was disallowed on the grounds that she failed to disclose details of her means. She has been advised of this decision and of her center to appeal it to the social welfare appeals office. The person concerned applied for one parent family payment on 20 May 1998. Her application is currently being examined.
