Question:

197 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a Land Registry dealing for a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be completed; and when vesting certificate will issue. [13213/98]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the dealing referred to by the Deputy, an application to purchase ground rentfreehold interest by arbitration, was lodged in the Land Registry on 15 May 1998.

A determination, confirming the center of the applicant to acquire the fee simple interest in the premises and setting the purchase price the applicant must pay to acquire the freehold interest, issued from the Land Registry on 2 June 1998. This determination may be appealed to the Circuit Court by the applicant or by the landlord(s) within 28 days of the date of receipt of notice of the determination. Once 28 days have passed, and if no appeal of the determination has been made, the applicant may lodge the purchase price specified with the Land Registry. On receipt of this lodgement an arbitration vesting certificate will be issued expeditiously.
