97 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if he will clarify the situation in relation to the transfer of registration of a boat (details supplied) in County Wexford and the licensing of the tonnage involved; and if any of the papers in this regard have been lost in the Department in view of the fact that a year ago there was an inspection and they were advised verbally that it would be approved. The owner of the fishing boat in question applied to my Department to have it entered on the fishing vessel register. In view of the length of time since this application was made, I have directed that it be finalised as a matter of priority. I will advise the Deputy of the outcome.
