Question:

178 Mr. McDowell asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs if he will outline the expenditure on advertising for 1997 in each of the national daily, evening and Sunday newspapers, by his Department and bodies under his aegis in receipt of Exchequer funds which are established by or under an Act of the Oireachtas. [13426/98]

The following table outlines the expenditure, including VAT, in 1997 in respect of advertising placed in each of the national daily, evening and Sunday newspapers by my Department and also by the National Social Services Board, NSSB, and the Combat Poverty Agency, CPA, both of which are bodies operating under the aegis of my Department and receiving Exchequer funds.
