192 Mr. McDowell asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if she will outline the expenditure on advertising for 1997 in each of the national daily, evening and Sunday newspapers, by her Department and bodies under her aegis in receipt of Exchequer funds which are established by or under an Act of the Oireachtas. The cost, including VAT, of advertising placed by my Department during 1997 was the following: national daily newspapers, £143,000 and Sunday newspapers, £18,000. Expenditure incurred by bodies under the aegis of my Department is a matter for the bodies concerned.
