228 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he will give details of the project brief prepared and issued by the 50 metre swimming pool project team which was produced before 26 March 1998. [13606/98]
In line with the commitment given in its joint programme, An Action Plan for the Millennium, to invite proposals for a national 50 metre swimming pool, the Government decided in December 1997 to initiate a tender procedure to invite such proposals. The tender procedure is being conducted in line with procedures set out in EU Council Directive 93/37/EEC. I will arrange to have the Deputy supplied with a copy of the comprehensive project brief which issued to the nine qualified candidates in the process on 26 March last.
