83 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be paid his 1997 headage and premia applications in view of the fact that he submitted proof of postage of his area aid application to the local office over two months ago and the local office confirmed receipt of same. [13452/98]

The postal certificate submitted by the person named has been examined and accepted as valid and the applicant has been requested to resubmit his 1997 area aid application. On return of this application, it will be processed and any headage and premium payments due will issue.

Question:

84 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be paid the remainder of his 1997 suckler cow premium. [13453/98]

The person named applied for suckler grants on four cows under the 1997 scheme and was paid an advance of £336.55 on 2 December 1997. Arrangements are being made to issue the balance of £224.37 within the next two weeks.

85 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be paid the remainder of 1997 sheep headage in view of the fact he is in his seventies and relies on this income. [13454/98]

Payments in respect of 1997 sheep headage will issue in the near future.

86 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the amount of forage area declared in a 1997 area aid application (details supplied); and the results of the validation process against the aerial photography on this application. [13455/98]

The person concerned declared a total forage area of 248.82 hectares on part 1 of his 1997 area aid application. However, the total of the land parcels declared on part 2 of the application as being farmed by him in 1997 amounted to 7.67 hectares. Maps have recently been issued to the person concerned which should be completed and returned as a matter of urgency in order to finalise his application.

87 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will have his REP scheme appeal finalised in view of the fact that stock have no access to the areas and fencing is not required; if he will make a favourable decision in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. This applicant's appeal was received on 28 May 1998. An on-farm visit is being organised as part of the appeal process following which the REPS appeals committee will examine the case.

88 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in the payment of REP scheme grants to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and when this payment will be made. [13509/98]

A REPS payment was issued to this applicant within the last week.

89 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when an outstanding REP scheme payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick in view of the fact that an inspection has taken place; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13510/98]

A payment was issued to the person concerned on 4 June 1998.

90 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in the payment of a REP scheme grant under the second year scheme for a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and when this payment will be made. [13512/98]

A third year REPS payment of £2,465.25 was issued to this applicant last week.

91 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if area aid has now been verified for a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; the grants, if any, outstanding; and when these payments will be made. [13517/98]

The area aid application for 1997 received from the person concerned has been fully processed and cleared for payment. Any outstanding payments should issue to the person concerned in the near future.
