157 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science the plans, if any, there are for a school (details supplied) in Dublin 5 to change from its current use; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13757/98]
There are no plans for the school to which the Deputy refers to change from its current use. The owners of the school site, the St. Laurence O'Toole Diocesan Trust, requested permission from my Department to devest a portion of the site from the school lease. The request was discussed by the school board of management. Having established that the devesting would not compromise the continuing effective operation of the school, my Department agreed to the request.
