92 Mr. Browne (Wexford) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a cow and beef ten month and 22 month premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; when an area aid payment will be made to this person; and the reason for the delay in these payments. [13805/98]
The closing date for receipt of 1997 area aid applications was Thursday, 15 May 1997. EU regulations allow for the acceptance of area aid applications for a period of 25 calendar days from the closing date subject to a 1 per cent late penalty across all related schemes for each working day that the area aid application is late within this period. All applications received after Monday, 9 June 1997 were subject to the 100 per cent penalty. The 1997 area aid application was received, from the person named, on 12 June 1997 thus incurring a 100 per cent penalty on all area aid related livestock payments.
93 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow will be paid his area aid grant. [13806/98]
Problems in regard to two parcels on the 1997 application of the person named are still outstanding. However, maps have been received with the 1998 application and these will be examined and processed as a matter of urgency with a view to clearing the 1997 position.
94 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if entitlements will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford in relation to the suckler cow premium and special beef premium; and if these will be expedited in view of the fact that he has submitted the correct forage area, maps and so on to the Department. The 1997 area aid application of the person named has been processed and an overclaim has occurred on a parcel. My Department has written to the applicant in this regard and the person named should reply immediately to this correspondence.
