Vol. 493 No. 1

Written Answers. - Office of Public Works Projects.

Ruairí Quinn

Question:

47 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if his attention has been drawn to objections by the sporting community to the Office of Public Works' plans to construct a recital hall in the only surviving real tennis court at Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15032/98]

I am aware of the concerns of some people in the sporting community about the work proposed at Earlsfort Terrace. However as overall responsibility for the project rests with my colleague, the Minister for Arts, Heritage, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, Deputy de Valera, the Deputy will appreciate that any issues in relation to the proposed development are a matter for her.
