Written Answers. - Computer Software.
It is the policy and practice of the Department of Foreign Affairs to purchase and install only licensed software. The bodies under the aegis of the Department i.e. Agency for Personal Service Overseas — APSO: the Refugee Agency; the National Committee for Development Education — NCDE; and the Irish Aid Advisory Committee — IAAC — also use only licensed software.

I would like to assure the Deputy that my Department uses only licensed software. With respect to agencies under my auspices, this is a day to day issue which falls within the remit of the individual agencies and in which I have no direct function.
