Written Answers. - Computer Software.
It is the policy of my Department to use only licensed computer software and the same applies to the offices and agencies under its remit. All such computer software is purchased from authorised sources only and is used in accordance with the terms of the licensing agreements.

I am satisfied that only licensed software is used in my Department. With regard to the agencies under the aegis of my Department, while this is a matter for the agencies themselves, a circular was issued to them in 1993 pointing out their obligations with regard to licensing and copyright protection. My Department is ensuring that these obligations are carried out in each agency.
