Question:

60 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the numbers of employees who may be board members of the Health and Safety Authority and FÁS; the number of employees who are on those respective boards and their appointment dates; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [16394/98]

Under the relevant legislation, three employee representatives may be appointed to the board of the Health and Safety Authority while two employee representatives may be appointed to the board of FÁS. The full quota of employee representatives have been appointed to both boards. The Health and Safety Authority employees were appointed on 11 December 1995 and the FÁS employees were appointed on 13 January 1998.
