209 Ms Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the plans, if any, he has to replace the Landlord and Tenant Act, 1980; the plans, if any, he has for legislation covering tenancy; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16637/98]
The scope of the Landlord and Tenant Act, 1980, is considerable and, while there are no plans to replace it, l can confirm that aspects of the legislation are being kept under active review. The details of any proposals for amending legislation that may be brought forward in this area will be announced in the normal way.
