Vol. 494 No. 3

Written Answers - Hospital Waiting Lists.

John Perry

Question:

223 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will be called for an eye examination in view of the fact that he is on the waiting list for two years and is finding it extremely hard to keep up in school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18201/98]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Sligo is the statutory responsibility of the North-Western Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the North-Western Health Board to investigate this matter and to report to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
