287 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if his Department or the South Eastern Health Board will provide special funding for a personal assistant for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny who is 14 years of age and has a physical disability due to an accident and is attending second level education in Kilkenny College. The making of arrangements for the provision of personal assistance services in any individual case is a matter for the relevant health board. Accordingly, I have referred the Deputy's question to the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board and asked him to have this case examined as a matter of urgency and to reply directly to the Deputy.
