Vol. 494 No. 5

Written Answers. - Energy Consumption.

Trevor Sargent

Question:

35 Mr. Sargent asked the Taoiseach when he expects to have figures from the CSO relating to energy consumption in Irish households. [17558/98]

Estimates of household expenditure on fuels are included in the national accounts published annually by CSO. The figures on domestic fuels are published in table 13 of the national income and expenditure report as a separate item while the figures on motor fuels are part of the heading, "Operation of personal transport equipment". Estimates of household spending on domestic and motor fuels in current and constant terms for the last five years are given in a table which I propose to circulate in the Official Report.

Estimate of domestic and motor fuel consumption in current and constant terms.
