I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Boylan — the crisis in pig farming which is leading to concern for animal welfare; (2) Deputy Matt Brennan — the urgent need for a new fire station in Tubbercurry, County Sligo; (3) Deputy Broughan —— the need to tackle the problem of joyriding which is causing grave concern on the north side of Dublin; (4) Deputy McManus — the failure of the Government to tackle the growing crisis of hospital waiting lists, the serious level of hospital bed closures which is exacerbating the problem and the need for immediate resourcing of hospitals in order to save lives; (5) Deputy Ulick Burke — the need to increase the capitation grant and the number of remedial and resource teachers at primary schools in County Galway; (6) Deputy Durkan — the subject matter of Question No. 611 of 30 September 1998 regarding the payment of the one parent family allowance to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; (7) Deputy Brendan Smith — the serious difficulties facing pig producers, particularly in the Border region and the need to provide additional pig slaughtering capacity in that region; (8) Deputy Conor Lenihan — the need to clarify the position regarding the funding of the Tallaght Hospital by the Department of Health and Children; (9) Deputy Gormley —— the proposed sale of Crampton Buildings in Temple Bar and the consequences of such a sale for the tenants; (10) Deputy McDowell —— the settlement terms arrived at between the Revenue Commissioners and the associated banks in question in respect of unpaid tax liabilities which arose during the early 1990s; (11) Deputy Seán Ryan — the future of St. Joseph's Hospital, Raheny and the implications for the catchment area if it closes given the numbers on hospital waiting lists.
