Vol. 494 No. 6

Written Answers. - Bed and Breakfast Accommodation.

Trevor Sargent

Question:

15 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Health and Children his views on whether the standards applied to bed and breakfast establishments which provide accommodation to clients who are supported by the various health boards are exactly the same as the standards which apply to bed and breakfast establishments which serve the commercial tourist-related market; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18853/98]

In general, where health boards make arrangements to provide accommodation in bed and breakfast establishments, I have been informed that it is of a standard comparable to that in the commercial tourist-related sector.
