Dinny McGinley

Question:

79 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a sheep headage payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal. [19007/98]

The person named submitted a 1998 area aid application with a declared forage area of 1.83 hectares. EU regulations stipulate that to qualify for sheep headage, an applicant must declare a minimum of three hectares of disadvantaged land. Given that the person named did not declare the minimum required area, sheep headage is not payable in 1998.
