Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Fitzgerald — the need for the Minister for Health and Children to outline the new regulations put in place for prescribing methadone and the role of the health boards in this regard; (2) Deputy Durkan — the subject matter of Parliamentary Question No. 611 of 30 September 1998 regarding the payment of the one parent family allowance to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; (3) Deputy Ulick Burke — the need to increase the capitation grant and the number of remedial and resource teachers at primary schools in County Galway; (4) Deputy Conor Lenihan — the need to clarify the position regarding the funding of the Tallaght Hospital by the Department of Health and Children; (5) Deputy Gormley — the proposed sale of Crampton Buildings in Temple Bar and on the consequences of such a sale for the tenants; (6) Deputy Naughten — the need for the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to immediately approve funding for the Castlerea sewerage scheme; (7) Deputy Timmins — the need to provide funding for a reservoir at Baltinglass, County Wicklow; (8) Deputy Lawlor — the continuing absence of sports hall facilities at Collinstown Park community college, Dublin 22, in spite of long standing approval, which is placing in jeopardy the provision of the adjacent all-weather pitch under the URBAN initiative; (10) Deputy Upton — the need to increase the direct subvention to Dublin Bus to allow for increased capacity and lower monthly and weekly fares; (11) Deputy Sargent — the need to introduce interim measures to bring accountability and transparency to bear on the manner in which charitable status is afforded to certain bodies.

The matters raised by Deputies Sargent, Naughten, Durkan and Ulick Burke have been selected for discussion.
