Dinny McGinley

Question:

286 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding the proposed sewerage scheme for Gweedore, County Donegal. [19123/98]

This scheme has been included in the 1998 water and sewerage services investment programme to advance through planning. The preparation of an environmental impact statement by the local authority is in progress.

288 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding provision of a sewerage treatment plant for Belcarra, Castlebar, County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19125/98]

A brief for the proposed scheme has been submitted to my Department. Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage services investment programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve this proposal.

289 Mr. Power asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the proposals, if any, he has to provide funding for the south Kildare regional water scheme; and when this project will proceed. [19126/98]

Contract documents for this scheme have been submitted by my Department. Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage services investment programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to provide funding for this scheme.

A revised preliminary report has been submitted to my Department. Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage services investment programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to provide funding for this scheme.
