Charles Flanagan

Question:

174 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a REP scheme payment has not been made to persons (details supplied) in County Laois in relation to their respective farm enterprises. [19091/98]

The persons concerned submitted separate REPS applications. However my Department is not satisfied that they are farming separately. A joint application may be acceptable, and they have been informed that a single agri-environmental plan incorporating all of the lands will be required if they wish to apply for REPS. Such an application has not been submitted to date.
