Vol. 495 No. 4

Written Answers. - Pupil-Teacher Ratio.

Dinny McGinley

Question:

414 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the unfavourable pupil to teacher ratio in a school (details supplied) in County Donegal; and the steps, if any, he will take to improve the situation. [20306/98]

The pupil teacher ratio for the school referred to by the Deputy for the 1998-99 school year is 17:1. The question of improving the ratio must be considered in the context of available resources.
