Written Answers. - Swimming Pool Projects.

Brendan Howlin

Question:

49 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the amount allocated to the construction of a swimming pool in Enniscorthy, County Wexford; the progress, if any, being made in regard to its construction; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20585/98]

A total of £2,301,355 has been allocated for the construction of a swimming pool in Enniscorthy by a local voluntary group with the support of the local UDC.

Construction work has been under way for some 12 months now at the site at Templeshannon, Enniscorthy, and the developers plan to have the pool completed in early 1999.
