116 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for Finance the amount by which gross transfer of EU funds will increase in the event that Objective One status is secured for some regions for the period 2000 - 2006 as opposed to the entire country being designated in transition phase. [20602/98]
I refer the Deputy to my reply to a number of parliamentary questions on Wednesday 14 October which dealt comprehensively with the issue of regionalisation for Structural Funds purposes. In view of the ongoing negotiations at EU level on the next round of Structural Funds, including member state allocations, it would not be appropriate to quantify the level of potential gain to any region which might obtain full Objective One status.
