Vol. 495 No. 7

Written Answers. - Postal Voting.

Question:

509 Mr. Hayes asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will allow fishermen a postal ballot in general elections, by-elections and referenda in order that they may utilise their franchise when working. [21592/98]

Fishermen, whose circumstances are such as to render it likely that the person will be unable to go in person on polling day to vote, can apply for a postal vote.
