571 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the position regarding the responsibility for deer in the Connemara National Park, Letterfrack, County Galway; the damage the deer cause in trespassing in neighbouring land; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [21181/98]

Deer in the Connemara National Park are wild animals and accordingly, no liability can be attached to my Department for any damage that they, or any other wild animal may cause.
