Vol. 495 No. 7

Written Answers. - School Accommodation.

Tom Enright

Question:

732 Mr. Enright asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the serious overcrowding in St. Rynagh's community college, Banagher, County Offaly; and when the application for a new extension to include a new art room, science room, two additional general purpose class rooms and gym will be sanctioned. [21605/98]

I am aware that pupil numbers in St.

Rynagh's community college have increased in the past few years. An application has been received from County Offaly Vocational Education Committee for grant-aid towards the provision of additional permanent accommodation at the school to cater for increasing numbers there. The application is under examination in the planning section of my Department at present.
