Vol. 496 No. 2

Written Answers. - Visa Applications.

Alan M. Dukes

Question:

158 Mr. Dukes asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a decision will be made in the case of an appeal for a person (details supplied) against a decision by his Department to refuse his application for a visa to undertake a course of study in this country; and if he will ensure that this person's appeal is processed as speedily as possible in view of the fact that he has already secured a place to study and this place cannot remain open indefinitely. [22284/98]

An application for a visa in respect of the person referred to was refused on 10 February 1998. My Department has no record of having received either an appeal or a new application.
