138 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Public Enterprise whether transport costs to industry are monitored by her Department with a view to ensuring the availability of efficient industrial transport in the context of services being provided by the public sector; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I have no function in relation to this matter. Under section 7 of the Transport Act, 1958, the provision of efficient and economical public transport services is the statutory responsibility of CIE.
