187 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the non-payment of cattle headage to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [23166/98]

Difficulties have arisen in processing the area aid application of the person named. When these have been resolved, any payments due will issue as soon as possible.

188 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if payment of a milking parlour dairy hygiene grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [23016/98]

Payment of this grant will be considered when the local office of the farm development service has been notified by the applicant that the work in question has been completed to specification and a further inspection has been carried out.

189 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork has not received payment of 1998 horse, cattle headage and beef cow grants. [23017/98]

The area aid application for the person named has been processed. Any outstanding payments will issue as soon as possible.

190 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason Parliamentary Question No. 295 of 3 November 1998 was not fully answered and the reason a recent payment under the area aid application for a person (details supplied) in County Cork included a fine. [23018/98]

The person named incorrectly declared a total of 24.82 hectares in his 1998 area aid application. Payment of £1,080.15 under the 1998 cattle headage scheme was based on this area. This grant was subject to forage area restrictions as set out in clause 27 of the terms and conditions governing this scheme. The herdowner's error was rectified and his total area is now 35.10 hectares. A supplementary payment of £9.85 will issue within the next 14 days.

191 Mr. M. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a headage grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [23019/98]

Difficulties have arisen in processing the area aid application from the person named. When these have been resolved, any payments due will issue as soon as possible.

192 Mr. M. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when an extensification grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [23020/98]

The person named received his full entitlement of £285.87 under the 1997 extensification premium scheme on 31 July 1998. Payment of £1,057.81 under the 1998 cattle headage scheme has now issued to him.

The person named applied on two animals under the 1998 sucker cow premium scheme. As the applicant has no suckler cow quota, he is not eligible for payment in accordance with clause 11 of the terms and conditions governing the scheme.
