125 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the number of fish counters installed; the locations where they have been installed; the further number to be installed; the locations where they will be installed; and when they will be installed. [23841/98]
The information requested relating to the current fish counter installation programme is set out in the attached table.
Of the 24 counters planned in this phase, 16 have now been installed and the remaining eight will be completed by end 1999.
The Department is assessing the continuing fish counter programme with the Marine Institute and Central Fisheries Board with a view to identifying a prioritised next phase together with related costings and funding.
