145 Ms Clune asked the Minister for Defence the arrangements, if any, he has put in place in his Department to offset any adverse effects of the millennium bug; the effects the millennium bug will have; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23521/98]

My Department and the Defence Forces are engaged in a major programme of work which is designed to ensure that all IT and other systems which are not year 2000 compliant are either upgraded to ensure compliance or are being replaced by compliant systems.
