Vol. 496 No. 6

Written Answers - Agricultural Schemes.

Michael Ring

Question:

162 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when application forms will be available to farmers to apply for the 1998 fodder aid scheme; and when this money will be paid. [23458/98]

Sheep and suckler cow farmers do not have to apply for payments under the fodder scheme. Payment will be made automatically by reference to the details on 1998 sheep headage and suckler cow application forms. Details of the arrangements for dairy farmers will be announced shortly. Payments under the scheme will commence as soon as the necessary clearance is received from the EU.
