267 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Finance the number of legislative measures to be implemented within his Department to complete the EU Single Market legislative programme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23598/98]
There are three legislative measures to be implemented within my Department to complete the EU Single Market legislative programme. Directive 97/5/EC of 27 January 1997 on cross-border credit transfers must be implemented by the member states before 14 August 1999. Directive 98/4/EC of 16 February 1998 amending Directive 93/38 EEC co-ordinating the procurement procedures of utility companies must be implemented by 16 February 1999.
