284 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance if any response has been received recently to the efforts of his Department to provide premises for a new Garda station in Leixlip, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23886/98]
Discussions regarding a proposed joint development which will incorporate a new Garda station are ongoing between the Office of Public Works and another party. A further meeting in this regard, is scheduled for tomorrow. My office is pressing to bring the development to construction as quickly as possible.
