314 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will make a grant available to the Western Alzheimer Foundation from national lottery funding in order to allow it to continue to maintain its present level of relief for Alzheimer sufferers and their carers. [23738/98]

An application for lottery funding from the Western Alzheimer Foundation has been received in my Department. It is hoped to make a decision on this application shortly.
