Vol. 496 No. 6

Written Answers - Greenhouse Gas Emissions.

Róisín Shortall

Question:

61 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Finance the work being done in his Department to ensure that Ireland's obligations under the agreement reached in Kyoto do not impact directly on economic growth; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23716/98]

My Department is making an input into these processes. Naturally, as the question implies, a concern of my Department would be that the obligations in our case be met in a manner which best complements and integrates with our continued economic growth.
