14 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has yet completed his consideration of the report of the Dublin Taxi Forum; the action, if any, he will take arising from the report; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24091/98]
The Dublin Taxi Forum addressed a comprehensive set of recommendations in September 1998 to a range of agencies — Government Departments, the Garda Síochána, local authorities and taxi service providers. These recommendations must receive careful consideration from all parties concerned. As far as recommendations relevant to my area of responsibility are concerned, I intend to complete my consideration of the issues with a view to any necessary action as soon as possible.
