Jim Higgins

Question:

41 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in the payment of cattle headage to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [24239/98]

The area aid application of the person concerned has been processed and any payment due will issue as soon as possible.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

42 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when 1997 and 1998 headage grant payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24240/98]

The area aid applications for the person named have been processed. Any outstanding payments due in respect of 1997 and 1998 will issue as soon as possible.

43 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if area aid problems will be resolved for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo; if 1998 cattle, suckler cow and special beef payments will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24241/98]

Difficulties which arose in processing the area aid application for the person named were addressed to that person. As these difficulties have not been resolved, a Department official has been asked to carry out a farm inspection in to finalise this case so that any payment due will issue as soon as possible.
