Vol. 497 No. 2

Written Answers - Grant Payments.

Michael Moynihan

Question:

169 Mr. M. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when outstanding area aid payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [24700/98]

The person named submitted one application for ten month special beef premium and six applications for 22 month special beef premium in 1998 in respect of a total of 84 eligible animals. Two of these applications, in respect of five animals, were submitted in October and, therefore, are not due payment until January 1999 at the earliest.

Advance payments of £1,659.12 and £456.61 issued on 20 October 1998 in respect of 29.33 animals and the balance was withheld pending the clarification of a milk quota query. This query has now been resolved and manual payments have been arranged which should issue within the next fortnight.

Balancing payments will issue in 1999 once the position regarding any overshot on the national quota for special beef premium has been established and the rate of payment for the final instalment set.

John Perry

Question:

171 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if 1998 cattle headage payments will be released to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo; if he will make a favourable decision in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24702/98]

The area aid application from the person concerned has been processed and any payment due will issue as soon as possible.

John Perry

Question:

172 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a rural world payment will be released for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24703/98]

An error in recording the application form of the person named resulted in non-pay-ment of the rural world premium. Payment of the outstanding amount due will be made shortly.
