231 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a Western Health Board official will call to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo to assess his home for urgently needed works under the special housing aid for the elderly scheme. [24407/98]
As the Deputy will be aware the provision of health services in County Mayo is, in the first instance, a matter for the Western Health Board.
I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to investigate this case as a matter of urgency and respond directly to the Deputy with the board's findings.
