The estimated cost of providing medical indemnity cover for medical and dental staff employed by health boards, voluntary hospitals and other agencies for the years 1991 to 1998 is set out in the following table. As 1991 was the first year for which an estimate of this expenditure was developed, a figure for 1990 is not available.
