John Gormley

Question:

222 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will provide figures on the increase in eczema; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25587/98]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 218 and 222 together.

The National Eczema Society is not in receipt of funds from my Department. Much of the treatment of eczema takes place in the primary care setting. As eczema is not a notifiable disease, information on the incidence of the condition is not collected by my Department.
