Question:190 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Finance the steps, if any, taken to reinstate and repair a bridge (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of its condition. [25397/98]
Written Answers - Public Works.
An engineer from the Office of Public Works called to the person in question recently and discussed the position of the ford. This ford, which crosses the channel, was provided shortly after the original drainage works were completed. It was agreed at the meeting that a survey of the area has to be undertaken to establish the extent of works required on the ford. This area of channel is scheduled for maintenance in 1999 when the necessary works on the ford will be undertaken.
